I flew from Hong Kong to Bangkok to Travel to Thailand. The round Trip was less than 1,000, which was already very cheap. Before departure, download Southeast Asian taxi apps such as Bolt and Grab. I have been using Bolt on this trip. You can bind a visa card or pay in cash. The price is much cheaper than Grab.
I stayed in a youth hostel near Khao San Road on the first night. The whole road is a famous bar street in Bangkok. There are basically no Chinese people on the road. Most of them are Europeans and Americans. The atmosphere is super strong. But it is also a bit chaotic. You should pay attention to safety when Traveling alone. On the second night, I stayed near the famous massage street in Bangkok (Tarawish Hotel, which is relatively clean and cost-effective). There are also many massages and snacks around, most of which are locals. Bring cash to this place. Most stores support credit cards and cash payments.
I set off at 10 am. The first stop was the Emerald Buddha Temple, and then the Grand Palace. These attractions are next to each other (package ticket is 500 baht), and they are all very close to Khao San Road and can be reached on foot. But compared to these two, I would recommend the National Museum of Thailand (200 baht). Although many of the translations are difficult to understand, the history and culture inside are worth the price of admission. The most important thing is that the interior is cool. The weather in Bangkok is still hot during the National Day holiday, so it is a good choice to take a break here after visiting the Grand Palace.
Chao Phraya River Cruise, highly recommended! Phra Arthit navigation location, few people and many boats, 40 baht can experience the Chao Phraya River sunset on the boat for 40 minutes. If you still want to see the night view, you don’t need to get off the bus after reaching the end, just sit there, and there will be ticket inspectors to collect money from you. If you leave, the good position on the second floor of the boat will be gone immediately. Chinatown Night Market, there are a lot of people! I didn’t look at the guide, I just walked along the road, but to be honest, Chinatown is still great at night. There are many people, it’s lively, and there are a lot of delicious food, so you can experience more.
1. Bangkok is a Tourist city, and most people can speak a few words of English, so there is no problem with basic communication.
2. Motorbike is more recommended in crowded areas such as Chinatown. It is more convenient. Taxis will always be unable to find the place.
3. You don’t need to follow the guide on Xiaohongshu for food. You may find unexpected surprises in the restaurants you find at random.
4. You don’t need to look too carefully on Xiaohongshu when you go out. If you plan too tightly and check in too many popular online stores, you will inevitably step on thunder and waste time.
5. You can go to King Power Duty Free Shop for shopping. When I went there, they were holding an event. It felt quite cost-effective to buy some Thai cosmetics or brand discounted watches or clothes.
