Hoan Kiem Lake Lower Quarter (also called "Hoan Kiem Half Town" or "Hanoi District") ispart of Hanoi, situated on the south side of Hoan Kiem Lake, about 1 km from the Old Quarter and 3 km from the New Quarter. Lower Quarter is famous for its splendidly beautiful, traditional architecture and local culture. Its very scenic streets, alleys, and gardens attract the keenest gaze of locals and tourists.

Located in the inner city of Hanoi, Vietnam, the Old Quarter, otherwise known as the Hoan Kiem District, is one of the most historically and culturally significant neighborhoods within the city, so much so that it has become known for its narrow streets, traditional architecture, busy markets, and cultural landmarks like Hoan Kiem Lake and the Temple of Literature. The district is centered around the area surrounding the lake, extending westwards from it.
