Who is so lucky to meet a deer while walking in Halla Tree Park in Jeju Island? Of course it’s me! When I turned around, I saw a deer grazing behind me! If you have plenty of time in Jeju Island, set aside a morning or evening to go for a walk in Halla Arboretum!
This is the most surprising place in my five-day and five-night Trip to Jeju Island, and it is also my favorite park I have visited so far. From the natural environment and public facilities in the park, you can fully feel the park's love for animals and plants and its care for people. The park has a very rich variety of trees and retains the original forest tree landscape. There is a gentle climb that can satisfy a light hike of several kilometers. Walking on the trails is like walking in the mountains, and well-planned trails also reduce the impact of footprints on the environment. There are many taps in the park where you can drink water, as well as wooden couches and wooden benches for resting and picnicking.
I even met a wild deer in the park, only about one meter away from me. I never thought that people and wild animals can be so close in the park. Every few steps I took in the park, I exclaimed with my friends that this park is really beautiful and nice. There were many Korean middle-aged and elderly people walking in the park all morning, as well as aunties who came down from the mountain, and there were also young people. Walking the dog is full of spring vitality. Who wouldn’t love a park like this?
📍: Halla Arboretum 한라수목원
🚕: The park is located in the city. If you live on Baanjian Road and take a taxi, you can get there in 10 minutes. Taking the bus will not take more than 30 minutes. For location and transportation, please see my last two pictures.
🎫: It is a free and open citizen park
🏪: There is a coffee shop and a GS25 convenience store at the entrance of the parking lot. You can buy some food and drink, which is very convenient.
☀️: It is recommended to go on a good day. The sunshine in the woods is really beautiful.
🦌Fawns are wild, not captive-bred, so whether you can see the deer depends on luck. Also, please do not disturb or feed the deer.
