The most anticipated Trip in Krabi this time is the rock climbing on Railay Island. Compared with other islands, the special thing about Krabi is that it is a global wild climbing holy land! Others come to the island to lie down, we come to the island to train outdoors!
We chose the most popular Railway rock climbing on Instagram. You need to go there by yourself. The hotel Grap locates the longtail boat service to buy a boat ticket. The ticket price is 100 baht/person one-way. The return trip needs to be before 18:00. After 18:00, +50 baht/person. The boat can be dispatched when there are 8 people. It can usually be assembled quickly.
🧗🏻♀️About rock climbing routes
1️⃣ Rock climbing🧗🏻♀️
I am very happy to meet Coach Bear, who is really humorous and speaks great Chinese! First, I went to the seaside rock climbing area. There are a total of 6 rock climbing routes. The coach will guide you where to put your hands and feet, and will also give you some strength below to pull you up, so it is friendly to beginners and not as difficult as imagined! But you need to explore by yourself after climbing to the back, which is basically a real-life blind man touching the "stone". The main feature is a hand-to-foot buckle. That moment is helpless and happy. Try not to do manicure, otherwise it is difficult to buckle the rock!
2️⃣ Bat Cave Exploration🦇
Walking from the rock climbing area to the bat cave will pass by the sea, and then the karst landform will be all the way. Use your hands and feet to climb into the cave. There are ladders and ropes. It is recommended to bring gloves or wet wipes, otherwise your hands will be covered with dirt! The view of the beach and sea view from the cave is really picturesque. The coach will take pictures and photos for everyone in turn. It is very professional and can even move the camera when taking videos!
3️⃣ Rope descent
It is not very far from the bat cave, and you have to climb with your hands and feet all the way. This is the camera position for taking photos of life. The coach will patiently take photos and videos for you, and then the coach will slowly let you go down. I am not afraid of heights and I really enjoy this process!
4️⃣Seaside
I thought this was the end. The real primitive forest hike has just begun. It is easy to go up the mountain but difficult to go down. There are places on the way down that have ropes tied to pull, and there are places that need to use the branches next to them (some of them have been smoothed by touch). In short, it is really wild! It is also a very interesting hike. I even fell in love with it. This stamina feels stronger than rock climbing! It feels like a déjà vu of exploring in the rainforest!
🎫Cost
1500 baht: rock climbing + caving + rope descent
🎒Equipment
[Waterproof bag] You may encounter water when taking a boat and getting off the boat
[River tracing shoes] It had just rained when I went there, and the water level was super high when I got off the boat. It is recommended to buy a pair of comfortable river tracing shoes, otherwise the sports shoes will be scrapped on that section of the hike. They are so dirty that you don’t want to wash them. Don’t wear slippers, they will slip and make you doubt your life!
[Swimsuit] The waves will hit your whole body when you walk to the shore, so it is best not to wear climbing clothes. If you get wet, it will be very uncomfortable to climb.
[Clothing for rock climbing] Long pants are recommended to avoid scratches.
[Socks] The climbing shoes are provided by the store, so it is recommended to wear clean socks.
[Sunscreen spray & mosquito repellent mist]
