🍸Lamp BarAsia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 We arrived early and could walk in directly. There were three or two local customers having a drink at the bar, and more European and American Tourists arrived after dinner time. Lamp Bar is a retro and extremely sophisticated new cocktail bar that retains the traditional Japanese service style. There is no wine list inside. There were three staff members that day, two bartenders and one waiter. Everyone was very friendly and would try their best to introduce their bartending concepts. Unfortunately, Kaneko Michoto was not at the store that day. Small cities like Nara also have international bars, which shows how deeply Japanese bartending and bar culture has penetrated the public. The business hours are 17:00-02:00, and the seat fee is 500JPY/person. We drank a total of six glasses at Lamp Bar: - Negroni Twist. We used two gin blends, one was a homemade camphor wood-infused gin, and the other was a Japanese gin with a woody tone, using Amaro is also homemade. The whole glass of wine is dominated by spices and wood, and it tastes sweet and sweet. - Gimlet. I am a Gimlet lover and think it tastes good. The ancient gin combined with lime cordial makes it even, full and slightly sweet. - Cosmopolitan. Use fresh raspberry juice instead of cranberry juice, and it tastes more like Cosmopolitan combined with clove club. - Special floral aroma. Refreshing and easy to drink. The overall flavor is more of fresh apple and some fresh spices. - Fernet special blend. Lemon juice and soda are simply added, but the balance is very good. The peel of local grapefruit is used to add flavor. It is a good choice as a finishing touch. - Eggshell Whisky Sour. Because I saw so many people ordering it, I couldn’t help but order a drink too. The bartender introduced a stronger version of whiskey sour, adding some peat flavor and adding some smoky aroma by burning the cinnamon spread under the eggshell.
