Manila's Rizal Park, home to the monument to Jose Rizal, the father of the Philippines

Today I visited Rizal Park, where the monument of Jose Rizal, the father of the Philippines, is located. Jose Rizal, the father of the Philippines, was from Fujian, China. Jose Rizal was an important figure in the Philippines' opposition to Spanish colonial rule. Jose Rizal was executed by Spanish colonists in 1896, and since then he has been revered as the father of the nation by the Filipinos.

In Rizal Park, there is a special area called "Chinese Garden", which is full of Chinese scenery and a statue of Confucius. Why do the nine photos look like two different weathers? Because it was sunny when I went there, and it started to rain after I finished visiting the park. I couldn't get a ride for an hour. After the rain stopped, it was cloudy. I took a photo of the monument and started walking back to the apartment. On the way back, it started to rain heavily. The water on the road was up to my calves. I walked two kilometers and finally got back to the apartment.
