Philippines Manila transit, it took less than 24 hours to easily visit this most European city in Asia!
📍 Recommended itinerary:
1. Intramuros: Spanish colonial architecture, Travel back to the 16th century!
2. Fort Santiago: This is the last stop of the Philippine national hero Rizal, full of history!
3. Manila Cathedral: Church building, suitable for punching in and taking pictures! There are people soliciting customers to take a carriage to visit the Royal City at the entrance of the scenic spot. If you don’t want to take it, don’t talk to him, otherwise he will keep following you to sell! (The above are all in one area, grab a taxi and directly locate the Spanish Royal City to get off. If you walk around the entire area, it will take about two hours)
4. SM Mall of Asia: One of the largest shopping malls in Asia, shopping, food, and sea views are all done in one stop!
5. Sunset at Manila Bay: If you have enough time, you must go to Manila Bay to watch the sunset in the evening. The pink and purple sky and the sea are very romantic!
Food recommendations:
1. Jollibee: Philippine national fast food, fried chicken is super delicious! 🍗
2. Halo-Halo: Philippine specialty dessert🍧
3. Adobo: Philippine national dish, chicken or pork stew, tastes pretty good! 😋
🛂 Visa: Visa-free if you have a US-Japan Schengen visa. You may be asked to show your hotel and flight reservations out of the Philippines (no need to print, just show it on your phone)
🕵️Entry declaration Fill in the website: etravel.gov.ph Fill in 72 hours before entry! After writing, there will be a QR code screenshot to save, show the QR code when leaving customs, and you can go out with a mobile phone scan.
It is recommended to complete it in advance, it is really a waste of time to do it there!
⚠️The airport has four terminals that are not connected to each other. Take a free shuttle bus or grab a taxi to change terminals. It is recommended to reserve 2 hours for transfers in different terminals because there will be traffic jams. After entering the country, you can withdraw pesos from the ATM on the first floor (UnionPay fee is 25 yuan) or you can exchange RMB/USD at the manual exchange shop next door. A day Trip in Manila costs about 2000p (grab taxis are settled on the app and no cash is needed).
📶Mobile Internet Card: There are Internet cards for sale at the airport, which are quite cheap, only a few dozen RMB. I just turned on international roaming and didn't buy a card because it was too troublesome for a one-day transfer.
🚕Be sure to grab a taxi when leaving the airport, it is guaranteed and safer! It is much more expensive to take a taxi directly.
🚗Transportation: Traffic in Manila is relatively congested, it is recommended to take a Grab taxi, which is safe, convenient and cheap!
💡If the transfer time is tight, it is recommended to plan the route in advance to avoid missing the flight! ✈️
