How to choose a cheap resort hotel in the poor version of Boracay? This guide will tell you

When I was making a guide to book a hotel, I read a lot of posts and found that most of them were recommended by rich men and women with a price of two or three thousand (Shangri-La/Discovery/Crimson/Linde). Since I was short of money, I summarized the existing notes and the recommendations in the comments, and selected a cost-effective hotel in s1-3 and brought my personal experience sharing. It is just my personal opinion of the advantages and disadvantages, aiming to help friends who have never been here to make decisions and avoid pitfalls. See the picture for details.

How to choose s1/s2/s3?

This time, I specially experienced s1,2,3, and briefly talked about my personal feelings. First of all, s1, 2, and 3 are not the names of the beaches. It is easy to be misled by the notes that s1 beach has the best sand. S1 is station 1. The beach is actually called white beach. It is very long, so there is the term s1, s2, and s3 area.

s1 is the farthest from the pier. There are many high-end resorts in this area. It is suitable for booking a good hotel and vacationing in it, because it is quite far to go to White Beach and dmall. The top hotels are basically in S1, and many of them have private beaches.

S2, dmall business center, white sand beach is beautiful, but the hotels are not big, basically one or two buildings, not like S1 directly build a large park. Suitable for those who like to go shopping at night, eating, clubbing, spa can satisfy all needs, but it is really noisy.

S3, there are some businesses along the beach, restaurants/hotels/diving shops, relatively quiet and convenient, the scenery is the same, the sand is slightly coarse. Lack of good hotels, suitable for those who like sea projects or lying on the beach and doing nothing. (S2 has few hotels facing the sea and they are relatively expensive. Most of them have no sea view and need to walk to the beach for a few minutes. S3 has more friendly hotels facing the sea, but some tutu cars cannot deliver to the hotel door).

If I come next time, I should choose S3 (but I will choose a better condition). I think the top hotels in S1 are not cost-effective and the private beaches of the hotels are probably not as beautiful as the white sand beaches. S2 is a bit too noisy for me. S3 is just right. It would be great if I could book a newer hotel. After all, the purpose of my visit is to lie on the beach. I passed by a restaurant that looked pretty good. I checked on Google and found out it was newly opened in August or September this year. It's called Ondus. I think the decoration and location are very good.
