There are not many attractions in Hanoi, so visiting cafes is a must when visiting Hanoi Citywalk. And this cafe with the best view next to Long Bien Bridge is undoubtedly a must-visit. This cafe is located on the third to fifth floors of a white French building, facing the iron bridge. Take the elevator to the third floor and order, and you can sit on the third, fourth, fifth or rooftop terrace.
Long Bien Bridge (Cầu Long Biên) is the most well-known and representative railway bridge in Hanoi. This bridge across the Red River is the first steel bridge in Hanoi and was built in 1903. When it was built, Vietnam was still a French colony. It is said that the designer was Gustave Eiffel, the designer of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Best shooting tips
It is best to pick a sunny day, the sunset is the most beautiful. Unfortunately, it was cloudy for several days in Hanoi and we didn’t take a sunset photo.
1. The third floor is separated by glass windows
2. The balcony on the fourth floor is the most photogenic, and the top picture is taken from the fourth floor
3. The outdoor terrace on the fifth floor
4. The terrace on the top floor can take panoramic views
The coffee and drinks here are so-so, and most people come here for taking pictures. When we went there, we met several groups of domestic Tourists and a few local couples in love. After drinking coffee, you can cross the road and walk to Long Bien Bridge or go to the graffiti wall under the bridge to take pictures. However, there is a lot of traffic here and the exhaust pollution is serious, so we finally gave up the idea of taking pictures of the graffiti wall.
