Historically called Da Luo, or Thang Long, this city has a feudal history spanning more than a millennium. It has been the capital for most of the dynasties since the 11th century and has been named Hanoi since 1831. It abounds in historical relics and other sites of interest that have since come to be called "the millennial cultural relics".
Hanoi lies northwest of the Red River Delta, at the junction of the Red and Dun Rivers, interconnected with Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Henan, Hoa Binh, and Phu Tho Provinces. Averaging 28.9°C through summer and 18.9°C in winter, Hanoi stands stunning through alternate seasons.
