Nagai Botanical Garden, from March to October every year, 9:30 to 17:00 (last entry at 16:30), from November to February every year, 9:30 to 16:30 (last entry at 16:00). Adults 200 yen, junior high school students and below free, get off at the subway "Nagai Station" and walk for 10 minutes to get there.
There is a "historical forest" in Nagai Botanical Garden, which is not an ordinary grove. Here, you can not only appreciate the Tertiary flora (2 million to 65 million years ago, Metasequoia, etc.), Akashi flora (2 million years ago, Gleditsia, etc.), but also see the glacial and interglacial flora (10,000 to 2 million years ago) and evergreen broad-leaved forests and secondary forests (Quercus, etc.). Being in it, the eyes are full of green, which is very healing. Moreover, there are few people coming here. The quiet surroundings only hear the sound of flowing water and birdsong. Walking in it seems to have a little more poetic steps.
