There are three VIP lounges in the international terminal of Busan Gimhae Airport. If you are hungry, the Sky Hub Lounge near Gate 9 is the best choice. Unlike Korean Air and Air Busan, the VIP lounges only have instant noodles, cookies, and Sky Hub Lounge food. There are more choices, including fried rice cakes, spicy beef soup and other Korean foods. You can have some local food to reminisce before boarding the plane.
Busan Airport is not big. After passing the security check and entering the controlled area, you can only visit duty-free shops and convenience stores. The seating area in front of each boarding gate is also full of people. If there is still some time before boarding the plane, and you have a Priority Pass or Dragon Card issued by the bank, it is more practical to find a VIP room to rest.
The Sky Hub Lounge is right next to Gate 9. You can enter it with Priority Pass, Dragon Card, or Diners Club. The business hours are 06:30~21:30.
The Sky Hub Lounge is not very spacious. In addition to the seating areas on both sides, there is also a row of high seats facing the windows where you can watch the planes.
Since I love watching airplanes, of course I chose a seat facing the window.
The dining area of Sky Hub Lounge is very centralized. There are eight kinds of hot food at the middle table, surrounded by bread, salad bar and other light snacks and drinks.
Breakfast cereals, milk, Belgian waffles, toast, along with tea bags, hot water and a coffee machine, but the coffee options are only American and espresso.
There is only one flavor of instant noodles today. The salad bar has lettuce, fruit, mashed potatoes, pickles, and pickles.
Hot dishes include fried rice, fried rice cake and fish plate, duck breast, honey butter fries, soft tofu, siomai, pumpkin porridge, and spicy beef and radish soup. Among them, the fried rice cake fish plate and the spicy beef radish soup I think are delicious. Adding some rice to the soup is similar to the beef soup rice at Haeundae's "Wonjo Grandma Beef Soup Rice".
The drinks on the counter include sparkling drinks and draft beer. You can follow the instructional steps to make your own Lemon Beer and drink it.
Because it was an early morning flight, it was too early to leave the hotel and I didn’t have time to have breakfast. I took fried rice cakes + spicy beef soup and had breakfast while watching the plane. It was really satisfying. The plane I photographed this time has only been flown by Korean Air and Asiana Airlines. I have never flown on other low-cost airlines such as Jin Air, Jeju Air, Air Busan, etc. I would like to fly on it if I have the opportunity in the future!
The Sky Hub Lounge at Busan Airport has a modern design, a lot of food choices, delicious food, and you can watch the planes. Unfortunately, morning is the busiest time at the airport. There are many passengers, so the VIP room seems a bit crowded. Fortunately, I got a seat facing the window. I can leisurely watch the planes and have breakfast. After eating and drinking, I get on the plane back to Taiwan. |
