My friend and I decided to come to Thailand on a whim in the middle of the night. We flew directly to Bangkok the next day... (Sometimes I admire our execution)
Let me tell you a few miserable things:
1. Naturally, I didn't do any strategy. First, we exchanged Thai baht. We only brought cards and no cash, so we could only go to the ATM to withdraw money. Then I couldn't withdraw my two cards at first. They said it was a network failure. When I was about to give up and leave the airport, I didn't give up. I kicked the purple machine and finally took it out. I exchanged 3,000 Thai baht.
2. After exchanging Thai baht, I left the airport beautifully and applied for a data card. I was cheated. There is a place that specializes in selling data cards at the airport exit. I asked if there was a one-day card at first. The staff said no, so I said to apply for a five-day card. After the card was issued and I got the change back, I found that she issued me a seven-day card. I spent too much money.
3. Then I looked for tips on how to get to the city on the Internet. Many people said that Bolt was cheap and easy to use, so I downloaded it to take a taxi. It worked fine at first, but when I took a taxi later, I opened the app and it was stuck. I swiped it and it stuck. The driver sent me a message, but I couldn't translate it. It just wouldn't work. The driver didn't speak English. He even tried to emphasize his tone so that I could understand Thai. We stared at each other in embarrassment.
4. There are also Thai drivers worth mentioning. Many Thai drivers don't use meters, especially when you are a foreigner. They just charge at random. It's not outrageous. It's about 331 baht for 27 kilometers, but I only have 1,000 baht notes on me. I gave it to him. He saw that I didn't speak Thai and mumbled something. Then he said "ok" in English? I only understood "ok", so I stupidly replied "ok". As a result, he only gave me 600 baht. I wanted to cry.
Then our minds suddenly came back to us! I decided to compromise with reality. I sent a message to my friend asking her to recommend the Thailand Tour she had signed up for to me. After hearing about my experience in Thailand, she was speechless. Fortunately, this tour saved my bad Trip to Thailand!
After contacting this local Thai small tour group, the driver immediately came to pick us up and settled us in our accommodation. He also told us a lot of things to pay attention to on the way. Many things were the first time I knew them. It turns out that professional things still need to be found by professionals! Because I signed up in a hurry, I looked at the route itinerary on site and chose a six-day pure play small tour group
I have to say that this tour group is really awesome. I am mentally prepared to step on some pitfalls (I didn’t make a strategy, I should have). First of all, there is no hidden consumption in the six days of playing. We can feel that they really want us to have a good time. They are very considerate in all aspects. The teammates saw that we were just two girls out to play and took special care of us. They were warm and considerate~
Thailand is really beautiful and fun! You must make a strategy, otherwise it will be miserable like me before.... Secondly, it is recommended for first-time visitors to sign up for a small group. You can have fun and ensure safety at the same time!
