Phuket is great, but I really love Krabi next door more! I just visited it for the second time some time ago. The blue sea and sky and the dreamy sunset made me feast my eyes. There are also many fun outdoor experiences. More importantly, there are few people and it is cheap! The end of the rainy season, November to April of the following year is a good time to go to southern Thailand. Save this guide to Krabi!
[My itinerary]
D1 Domestic → Bangkok → Krabi, Thai Airways has a special transfer channel at Suvarnabhumi Airport
D2 Island hopping from Hong Island to and from Ao Nang, Pabi Island → Paradise Island → Hong Island Lagoon → Hong Island
D3 A day Trip to Phi Phi Island from and to Ao Nang, Maya Bay → Phi Lai Lagoon → Viking Cave → Monkey Bay → Phi Phi Island → Bamboo Island
D4 Take a taxi from Ao Nang to and from Mirror Lake in the morning, and go from Ao Nang Pier to Railay Beach to watch the sunset in the afternoon
D5 Sleep until you wake up naturally, and fly Krabi → Bangkok in the afternoon
[Highlights of the Tour]
1. Ao Nang Beach: A very convenient area for locals to eat, drink, play and Travel. The beach is very beautiful in the evening and there is a fire show by the locals.
📍We stayed at HI under IHG
2. One-day tour to Hong Island: Pabi Island is very small; have lunch at Paradise Island, swim and take photos in the waters on the left; the lagoon is very beautiful, be sure to take photos at the bow; you have to go to the top of Hong Island to see the observation deck, which takes about 20 minutes to get up and then return the same way. If you don’t want to go there, just buy some drinks and stare blankly by the beach.
🔸Small island hopping speedboat group found in advance
🔹Pay an additional island fee of 300 baht/person
3. Phi Phi Island: Maya Bay has just been reopened to the public and is more beautiful than before. There is a cave on the right side facing the sea with few people and beautiful scenery; you can swim in the Phi Phi Lagoon; snorkel near the Viking Cave to see small fish; Monkey Bay is a bit dirty, just take a look; eat buffet at Phi Phi Island; Bamboo Island has a glass sea
🔸Small island hopping speedboat group found in advance
🔹Pay an additional island fee of 400 baht/person
4. Mirror Lake kayaking: Fantasy drifting in the rainforest, the first half is like a small Guilin, and the second half is directly opened after entering the forest, the scenery is so beautiful! There is a swimming area inside, and there is an emerald pool behind! Play and shoot for at least 2 hours
🔸Take a Grab taxi to Ao Nang and back, and follow Klong Root navigation
🔹Generally, the kayaking fee per person is 150-200 baht, which is more reasonable
You can visit the Mori-style cafe Baan Ton Mai nearby
5. Railay Beach: We went there to see the sunset, and went directly to Phra Nang Cave Beach in the south; if you want to climb rocks, go early in the day, and stay on the island for one night if you are not nervous
🔸Take a boat from Ao Nang Pier to 100 baht/person, and you may have to pay extra or find someone to share the boat if you return at night
[Other supplements]
✔️Krabi Four Island Tour: Chicken Island + Poda Island + Tup Island + Moore Island, some will count Railay and other islands into a seven-island tour, etc.
✔️Ban Bo Sol: You can also play kayaking, which is more primitive than Mirror Lake, and there are cave exploration, off-road vehicles, etc.
✔️Rock Island: A place that only deep players know and yearn for, no more introduction
