Hanoi might allow only a glimpse of some of its attractions on a day's run, but not the cultural heritage that the city inhabits. A two or three days trip around Hanoi may be beneficial, as it gives one a chance to soak up more of the wonderful ambiance of its history, culture, street food, and friendly spirit. On the contrary, if visitors know exactly what they want to see and make efficient time usage, they could do very well in just enjoying a one-day tour.
-Morning
Wake Up Early: "Dedicate a whole day to every single experience."
Through the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple: A splendid destination to commence the day, Hoan Kiem Lake is just simply amazing. I would take a walk around the lake, explore Ngoc Son Temple, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.
-Late Morning
Old Quarter: Explore the old quarter with narrow streets, with traditonal terribly quaint shops, and the local markets. Each street is named after the goods that were traditionally sold there.
Tea: Enjoy some local Vietnamese coffee at a café. Must try egg coffee!
-Afternoon
Temple of Literature: Visit the Temple of Literature, a beautiful and historic place dedicated to Confucius, where the first national university of Vietnam is located.
Lunch: Local food should be sampled. Pho (noodle soup), bun cha (grilled pork with noodles), and banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) are very common dishes.
In the evening, visit the bustling Hoan Kiem Lake, a favorite among locals and tourists. The lake is lined with floating temples, water taxis, and vendors selling local snacks and drinks. Sit back and enjoy the beauty of the sunset behind the lake in the peaceful atmosphere. 9. End the day with a shopping spree at the lively Rodepholes Market, which sells everything from glamorous fashions to kitsch souvenirs. The winding alleys make for a great adventure and may even lead to hidden treasures that can't be found anywhere else.
