Taoyuan Freedom International Hotel. Close to Nankan Interchange, spacious and comfortable rooms

When I go out to play, I usually choose to stay in Yilan or Taichung, and rarely go to Taoyuan. This time I received an invitation to stay, and I learned about the Freedom International Hotel in Taoyuan. The hotel style is very different from ordinary business hotels. It has a lively and bold design style. The most basic room type has a large space of 10 square meters, which is very comfortable to live in. The hotel's Chinese cuisine has a good atmosphere and service, and the food makes us very satisfied. It is a good place for gatherings and dining.

Freedom Design Hotel, which opened almost three years ago, is located in Nankan, Taoyuan. It is only a 5-10 minute drive from the Nankan Interchange and close to Nankan Industrial Park, Taoyuan Airport, and Taoyuan High Speed ​​Rail Station. The hotel is near the Taimao Shopping Center. It takes about ten minutes to walk along the Dakeng River from the hotel to the shopping center.



We drove there from Taipei and when we arrived at the parking lot next to the entrance, we were wondering how to get in when a service staff came out. After confirming that we were guests staying at the hotel, they immediately opened the parking lot fence and let us park in the parking lot. The service was very good.



The hotel lobby has a nine-meter-high ceiling, and the transparent glass design above the entrance brings in a lot of light, providing excellent lighting. The spiral staircase next to it is a favorite photo spot for newlyweds.



The colorful and bold murals on the counter wall caught my eye. I checked online and found out that this was a "native landscape painting" jointly created by Taiwanese artists Lu Mu-mi and Jiao Sheng-wei. In the painting, you can see animals unique to Taiwan, such as sika deer, macaques, and black bears, hoping to express ecological protection and love for this land.



The hotel's reception lobby is 250 square meters. In addition to a seating area for Travelers to rest, one area is used as a "MAX CAFE" where guests can have a cup of coffee and a light meal.



There are some children's play facilities in the outdoor atrium, including a trampoline made abroad, which is a player-grade trampoline that can accommodate three adults at the same time.



Various lighting fixtures, such as the colorful chandeliers in the elevator, the blue chandeliers at the entrance, the bright red artistic floor lamps, etc., are all unique designs of the hotel that boldly play with colors.



The public space on the second floor uses bright and bold colors, which I like more than the mixed style on the first floor. The colorful carpet is also very distinctive. The facilities include handball tables, a gym, and a business center, all open from 7:30 to 22:00.




The massage chair next to the fitness equipment is free, and you can sit in the massage chair to relax after exercise.



The business center has three iMACs for guests to use, and there is also a small meeting room if you need to hold a meeting.



The Yue Hospitality on the second floor is equipped with a small stage, projection and singing equipment, and can be used to hold small banquets, such as engagements, homecomings, birthdays, year-end parties and the like. In the future, private rooms with one or two tables will also be planned to meet the needs of different customer groups.



After introducing the public facilities, let's take a look at the guest rooms of the Freedom Hotel. The Freedom Hotel has a total of 187 rooms, which are divided into various room types according to room size, such as Grand/Brilliant, Excellence, and Honor. There is also an extra-large Superstar Suite.



Regal Room (One King Bed) / Brilliant Room (Two Twin Beds) [10 pings]

The most basic room type has 10 pings of space, and adding a bed to make it a Triple room is not too crowded. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and there is a drop-down bathtub for bathing.



Excellence Suite (One King Bed or Two Twin Beds) [15 ping]

One level higher than the basic room type, the Excellence Suite has an additional living room. There is a TV in each of the two spaces, so you don’t have to fight for the TV if you want to watch different programs.



Excellent Family Room (One large bed + two small beds) [15 ping]

The family room is separated into two spaces by a TV, desk and curtains, which is more private than the four-person room in ordinary hotels.



Premier Suite (One King Bed) [20 ping]

The Premier Suite is larger than the Excellence Suite. Upon entering, there is a mini bar and a separate living room. Further inside are the bedroom and a large bathroom.



Superstar Suite (One King Bed) [45 pings]

The Superstar Suite is 45 pings, which is larger than my house. It has a social room, dining room, living room, study, bedroom, and the bathtub in the bathroom is the only independent bathtub in the hotel. It is usually provided for newlyweds to stay at wedding banquets.



Deluxe Family Room (One King Bed + Two Twin Beds or Two Twin Beds + Two Japanese-style Mattresses) [20 pings]

This time we stayed in the Deluxe Family Room, which is second only to the Superstar Suite. The layout is the same as the Deluxe Suite. There is a mini bar at the entrance, but the living room space has become smaller. There is a king bed on one side and two twin beds on the other.



There is a Tiger brand electric kettle on the counter, as well as coffee bags, tea bags, and cookies. The bottled water, soda, and juice in the silent refrigerator are also free.



The room is simple in style, unlike the public space which is colorful and fancy. The floor is made of fireproof, moisture-proof and wear-resistant German MEISTER top-grade wooden floor. The door is also a fireproof door, so the sound insulation is very good.



The two spaces are separated by a TV, each with a TV, and with MOD channels, you can watch your favorite programs. However, the sound of the TVs will interfere with each other. I was watching a foreign fashion show, but I was listening to the sound of a local drama on FTV. It felt so strange!



The bedside lamp and the desk lamp are touch-controlled, with several adjustable light levels. Unfortunately, there is no socket or light control next to the bed (there is only one socket near the wall of the large bed), so you have to get up to turn off the light when you go to bed.



The desk lamp has a USB slot, which is very convenient for charging mobile phones, but if you want to charge a laptop, you must unplug the desk lamp or floor lamp before using the socket next to the desk. If you have several 3C products to charge at the same time, it is recommended to borrow an extension cord from the counter.



The bathroom is large and the toilet is a TOTO bidet. The hotel has sufficient water pressure, and it is very comfortable to take a shower in the morning. The drop-down bathtub is also easy to get in and out of, but the drainage pipe seems to be not well designed, the water drains slowly, and there is a bit of water accumulation.
