1-day trip to Jeongdongjin&Gangneung. Try the Stay Interview Cafe and the Seaview Train

During this holiday, I went to Seoul and took a day to Travel to Jeongdongjin & Gangneung. If you want to go, you can directly refer to our guide.

1️⃣ Transportation: KTX🚄 CTrip purchase has discounts
My time point outbound (7:22 Cheongnyangni Station-9:30 Jeongdongjin Station) return (Gangneung Station-Seoul Station 20:30-22:30). Among them, the Jeongdongjin-Gangneung section needs to go to the station counter to buy tickets. It is not available online. I bought 13:32-13:42 (5600 won for two people). Of course, you can also choose to take 113/112 directly to the terminal station Gangneung Station.

2️⃣ Itinerary arrangement (Jeongdongjin Station➡️Snow crab noodles➡️Stay Interview Coffee Shop➡️Gangneung Station➡️BTS Station & Goblin Check-in Point & Tofu Gelato & Thumb Noodles➡️Seoul Station). The last five minutes of the train at Jeongdongjin Station can see the sea view. It is recommended that you choose seats A and B (emphasis). After Jeongdongjin Station, there is a beautiful sea, where you can pose as much as you want. After posing, we can go directly to eat snow crab noodles next to the Jeongdongjin platform (one portion per person, we ordered two classic snow crab noodles and a huge bowl for 20,000 won in total. This should only be paid in cash, so everyone should prepare cash). It is super satisfying to come here early in the morning to have a bowl of hot soup noodles.

Set off to stay interview coffee shop (get off at Hoselo Art World at 112/113 or take a taxi to stay interview). I personally recommend strawberry latte & matcha latte for drinks in the coffee shop, and Earl Grey cake for cakes. It is recommended that you sit on the cliff edge upstairs (only five), so you need to wait when there are many people. Next is the trip to Gangneung. We chose to go back to Jeongdongjin and take the train to Gangneung Station. Those who are not in a hurry can also take the 112/113 bus or take a taxi.

3️⃣ Gangneung Station recently launched a car rental service for foreigners (3w Korean won for 3 hours and can choose three attractions, with taxi drivers to pick up and drop off the whole way) but this needs to be booked in advance! ! I made an appointment on the website, and I can communicate the car time with the official by email. I chose 14:30 and three places: BTS station & Goblin check-in point & thumb bibimbap. Here I want to emphasize the tofu gelato. I ordered soy milk and taro flavors. They are delicious and very cheap. This ice cream shop has four floors. The 2nd and 3rd floors are floor-to-ceiling windows by the sea, and the fourth floor is an outdoor rooftop overlooking the entire beach.

Dinner: Thumb Bibimbap. One portion is enough for two people (37,000 won). After eating, you can slowly walk back to Gangneung Station, which takes about 12-15 minutes. On the way back, you can buy Gangneung’s specialty apple juice and apples at the vending machine at the station (both are delicious after personal experience).
