Are you ready to Travel to Vietnam and embark on an exciting adventure? Vietnam has an impressive multicultural environment, great value food, and all kinds of scenery that will make you linger. Every time I return to the country, I really want to go back! Here are 12 things you absolutely must do when Traveling in Vietnam. If you don’t do these, don’t say you have been to Vietnam!
☕️Explore hidden cafes
Vietnamese coffee is rich and delicious, and each coffee shop has its own unique characteristics! In Vietnam, you can find unique decorations and environments, sit down and enjoy a moment of tranquility, taste a cup of authentic Vietnamese coffee, and feel the cultural charm of Hanoi! If you are greedy, you can also order a dessert ~ it’s so comfortable!
🥚Drink egg coffee
When traveling to Vietnam, don’t forget to try the Vietnamese specialty coffee, “Egg Coffee”. Vietnam's unique egg coffee is made from egg yolk, condensed milk and coffee. It has a rich and sweet taste that you will definitely love. However, please note that some stores do not allow take-out egg coffee. In order to ensure that you can taste the best and freshest flavor, it is still recommended that you go there in person to taste it!
🌅Take the cable car and watch the sunset
If you have the opportunity to visit Sun World Ba Na Hills in Vietnam, Sun World Fansipan Legend Park in Sapa, or Sun World Nature Park in Phu Quoc Island (yes! These three cable cars are all owned by Sun Group in Vietnam Covered 😂😂😂), then you must not miss taking the cable car and watching the sunset! The three-seat cable car feels very different when you sit on it. I really recommend everyone to try it.
🛍️Explore the local market in Vietnam
When you come to Vietnam, you must visit the local markets! In Vietnam’s traditional markets, you can find all kinds of fresh ingredients, handicrafts, and even dried goods such as cashews and dried mangoes, which are really great to buy as souvenirs. (Please remember to bargain!)
💆Vietnamese massage
Walking on the streets of Vietnam, you can see all kinds of massage parlors everywhere, from small street shops to high-end SPA massage parlors. Whether you like a traditional muscle-relaxing shiatsu massage, a full-body oil massage, or a hot stone energy deep massage, you can easily find your favorite in Vietnam! But I suggest that friends who have had hot stone massage should not go for another massage the next day, as it will be too irritating and may damage the skin.
🌟Vietnamese shampoo
Vietnamese-style hair salons have really become popular in Taiwan in recent years. How can you not try them when you come to Vietnam? In addition to shampooing, some Vietnamese hair salons also offer scalp, neck and eye massages. With one shampoo, your entire head (and even your face!) can be taken care of, which is super worth the price. , the editor really recommends it!
☕️Coffee workshop
Since Vietnam is one of the major coffee producing countries, the coffee flavors are unique! Therefore, we recommend that you take part in a coffee workshop, make a cup of Vietnamese coffee by yourself, learn about Vietnam’s traditional coffee culture, taste the coffee you made yourself, and buy some specialty coffee beans to take home as souvenirs. You will be satisfied!
🥻Wearing Ao Dai
In Vietnam, both men and women can wear Ao Dai! Ao Dai not only shows softness and elegance, but also contains Vietnam's long history and cultural significance. You can rent Aodai at many Tourist attractions (especially Hoi An Ancient Town. I highly recommend you rent Aodai and go to major historical attractions to take beautiful photos and videos for the Internet. It will definitely make your Trip full of interesting memories! If you are interested, you can also customize your own Ao Dai ~ Such a souvenir is definitely unique!
💅Do manicure
The density of nail salons in Vietnam’s urban areas is really scary, and the decoration of each one is more upscale than the other! From simple trims, pedicures, and nail polish to all kinds of light therapy designs that are so beautiful that girly hearts will go crazy, these nail salons offer a wide variety of nail services. And the price is really cheap! ! Except for Ho Chi Minh City, the price of styling manicure in Hanoi, Hoi An and Da Nang is about half of that in Taipei City. There are also super crazy and sweet prices of NT$500-700 including nail polish removal, and the quality is surprisingly good! You really can’t underestimate Vietnam’s beauty industry!
🦼Take a rickshaw
Three-wheeled rickshaws can be said to be one of the unique landscapes on the streets of Vietnam, and it is a special experience that you must try if you have the chance! Sitting in a rickshaw, you can feel the cool wind on your face and enjoy the scenery on both sides of the street, as if time has gone back a hundred years.
🚶Cross the road
▲ The secret to crossing the road in Vietnam is to raise your hand diagonally upwards to indicate the direction of oncoming traffic, and point it at a 45-degree angle to the oncoming traffic to indicate that you are about to cross. Take the first step bravely and blend into the rhythm of this bustling city!
If you come to Vietnam, it would be unacceptable if you don’t try the legendary Vietnamese road crossing! The traffic in Vietnam can only be described as full of characteristics. In Vietnam, you rarely see traffic lights. Because of this, it really takes a lot of courage to take the first step! What impressed me most was that although the motorcycles on the roads in Vietnam seemed chaotic, they had their own order and the speed was not as fast as in Taiwan.
🍲Eat Pho & French Bread
When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, pho and French bread are definitely the soul! Pho is one of Vietnam’s representative delicacies, and interestingly, the taste of pho in northern, central and southern Vietnam is really different! !
The Pho Viet Nam restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City even has "teppanyaki pho", which is delicious, photogenic and fun. No wonder it has been recommended by the Michelin plate! The local French bread in Vietnam even has different flavors. I once even ordered vegetarian French bread! |
