Khaothong Hill, a cozy sea view resort cliff cafe restaurant in Krabi, Thailand

You must visit Khaothong Hill when you Travel to Krabi. It is a very cozy sea view cliff coffee shop restaurant that I like after staying in Krabi for so many days. The view is very good and the scenery is beautiful. You can see the whole process of sunset when you have dinner here, which is super romantic.

⏰ Business hours: 11:00-20:00
It is recommended to come around 16:00, drink coffee and be in a daze first. Dinner starts at 17:30. If you arrive early, you can sit on the platform (Picture 3). Otherwise, you have to queue up and wait until the sunset. There is a minimum consumption for the platform seat, which seems to be 1500 baht for 2-3 people. At that time, I was only busy taking pictures, and there was no seat in the past. Relatively speaking, Thai food is more recommended, and Western food is very average.

🍽️ About the restaurant
The restaurant is on the mountain. You have to take the shuttle bus in Figure 7 to go up (about 5 minutes). Buy tickets at the door first, 60 baht/person (round-Trip ticket). Don't lose the ticket. It can be used for afternoon tea/dining. 30 baht.

🚗 About getting there
✅ Taxi: It takes about 30 minutes to get to Ao Nang, but I’m not sure if I can get a taxi because it’s too late
✅ Charter a car: I saw other places charge 900 baht for a round trip, you can refer to it
✅ Motorbike: I don’t recommend it very much, because I went there by motorcycle, it was dark when I went down the mountain, the road was deserted, there were few street lights, we drove very slowly, it took about 1 hour, and it was not very safe

Reverse travel, compared to other islands in Thailand, Krabi is still relatively niche, it belongs to karst landform, very special, the scenery/experience is wilder, you can see my previous notes for strategies...
