Oishi Shabushi Hotpot Buffet was a blind choice. We were too lazy to go to the old town to eat after walking around Central, so we ate at this rotating hotpot buffet next to McDonald's in the old building. It was super cool with air conditioning. There are three price ranges: 399, 499, and 599 baht. I think the most basic 399 is fine. For 499-599 baht, you can choose more meat. We ordered the 499 one, but the meat was average. I thought the 599 one was better. I mainly eat prawns, so meat doesn't matter.
There are also many sushi and tempura drinks to choose from. I bought 5 prawns at the Sunday night market in Phuket Town the night before for 150 baht. I felt that I could get my money's worth in a minute here. At least 50 prawns. Highly recommended. The waiter was very slow in cleaning up the garbage. The plates and shrimp shells we brought were piled up there. We called the waiter for a long time but he didn't come to clean up. We had no choice but to pile them on the empty seat next to us. The waiter didn't speak Chinese at all and his English was not that good either. We had to rely on Thai translation software to communicate.
