In Niseko, Hokkaido, besides skiing, eating is really the top priority. I basically eat on the way to skiing every day. After staying in Niseko for a week, I summarized some of the food in Niseko.
🔶 KobeTei Japanese BBQ p1-4
Super delicious Japanese BBQ! It is a fixed menu with rich dishes. The wagyu melts in your mouth, and there is a box full of caviar. The meat needs to be grilled by yourself, and every dish is exquisite and delicious. There are two wagyu set meals of 18,000 and 32,000 yen. One person needs to order a set meal, and reservations must be made at least one day in advance.
🔶 Kanpai Japanese Hot Pot p5-6
It is a Japanese hot pot buffet, 9,500 yen/person, no reservations are required. We chose the Japanese hot pot base and the kelp soup base, and there is also a spicy pot to choose from. The overall base is relatively light. There are relatively few types of meat, only one kind of beef, but it is really great to be able to eat beef freely in Niseko where prices are super high
🔶 Bar Gyu+ Refrigerator Bar p7-9
A small refrigerator bar in the world's top 50. In a dim cabin, Tourists from all over the world gather together, drinking and chatting while looking at the heavy snow outside the window. The atmosphere is really full, sweeping away the fatigue of skiing. There were not many people when we went there. There was only one table of people waiting in front, and we met a lady who came from Otaru Sapporo to check in at this small bar.
🔶 Hanazono Garden Foot Restaurant p10-12
It is considered a "canteen" where you often go for lunch during skiing, and you can ski directly from the top of Hirafu Mountain. It provides fast food such as curry rice, ramen, hamburgers, etc., basically around 2,000 yen per bowl. There are fewer people than Hirafu restaurants overall, and the taste is much better. It is still recommended if you ski in Hirafu or Hanazono.
