Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is a city rich in history and culture, with a unique urban style that matches its charm. You can experience all this city has to offer in a week.

Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatization Morning: Arrive in Hanoi. Check into your hotel and adjust to the jet lag. Afternoon: Free and easy. Relax.

Day 2: Religion and Architecture Morning: Visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a Buddhist temple built in the 11th century and known for its unique single-pillar structure. Afternoon: Visit the area around Hoan Kiem Lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple. Evening: Watch a water puppet show and enjoy traditional Vietnamese art.

Day 3: Markets and Shopping Morning: Stroll through the Old Quarter, Hanoi's busiest commercial district, where you can buy a variety of handicrafts and souvenirs. Afternoon: Visit Dong Xuan Market, a large market where you can buy a variety of local products. The day will culminate with an impromptu dinner at a restaurant of your choice on Old Street, which will set the stage for tasting more of Vietnam's flavors throughout the day.

Day 4: In one day, it's worth visiting either Ba Vi National Park or Mai Chau Village. Return to Hanoi for bed.

Day 5: Combination of Modernity and Tradition Morning: Visit Hanoi’s St. Joseph’s Cathedral and Long Bien Bridge on the Red River; Afternoon: Explore Hanoi’s modern business district, including Nguyen Hue Walking Street; Evening: Enjoy luxurious Vietnamese or international cuisine.

Day 6: Farewell to Hanoi Depending on your departure time, do some final shopping or sightseeing in the city. Head to the airport a few hours in advance and prepare for departure.

Day 7: Rest at the hotel for a day, try the hotel’s restaurant, or take a walk around the surrounding attractions.

A week in Hanoi should give you enough time for personal interests. In addition, considering various services such as traffic congestion, it will be helpful to plan your trip in advance. Vietnamese local cuisine, tea culture and local interaction are all parts of the trip that cannot be ignored.
