Today I want to share with you the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake Park in Hanoi, Vietnam! Hoan Kiem Lake Park is located in the center of Hanoi and is a shining pearl of the city. Its lake is oval in shape, long and narrow from north to south, with an area of about 12 hectares. The lake water is as clear as a mirror, and the surrounding trees are verdant and shaded. When you stroll by the lake, the breeze blows on your face, and the comfortable feeling is really indescribable.
There is a mysterious and moving legend here. According to legend, Le Loi, the founding emperor of the Later Le Dynasty of Vietnam, found an ancient sword in the lake, and later returned it to the sacred turtle in the lake, so the name of the lake was changed to Hoan Kiem Lake. This legend adds a touch of mystery to Hoan Kiem Lake and makes it one of the symbols of Vietnamese history and culture.
There are two small islands in the lake. The one in the north is Yushan Island, where Yushan Temple is built; the one in the south is Turtle Hill Island, where Turtle Tower is built. Yushan Temple is one of the famous places in Hanoi. The temple gate is connected to Qixu Bridge, and the building is antique. Although the Turtle Tower is not tall, it stands tall and straight, and the tower shadow and blue waves add a lot of color to the Sword Lake. Standing by the lake and looking at these buildings, you can feel the precipitation of history and the traces of time.
During the day, the Sword Lake Park is very lively. The elderly fish and chat by the lake, and the young people walk and take pictures here. There are also many small vendors by the lake, selling various Vietnamese snacks and souvenirs, so that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while tasting delicious food. At night, the lights on the lake are turned on, and the whole park becomes more charming. Couples snuggle on the benches by the lake and talk about love; street artists perform by the lake, and the singing and musical instruments are intertwined, adding a romantic atmosphere to the night.
This is also a great place to take pictures. Whether it is the ancient buildings by the lake, the beautiful scenery reflected in the lake, or the people coming and going, they can all become wonderful elements in your photos. Just take a picture, you can take a blockbuster full of Vietnamese style, which will instantly make your circle of friends like it.
