Check in at the first volcano in my life, Mount Batur in Bali, Indonesia. I set off at 3:00 am. My hotel is in Ubud city, about an hour and a half away from the destination. I worked hard to see the sunrise. We booked a jeep in advance, so when we arrived at the foot of the mountain, the jeep was waiting for us. There were 4 people in one jeep, including the driver. At first, it was all asphalt roads. After walking for a while, it was all mountain roads. The road was so narrow that I doubted my life. On both sides were vegetables and fruits grown by local residents. There was also a burst of chicken shit smell. Oh, remember to wear something thicker. It was really cold. You must bring a coat.
There were really many people watching the sunrise on the mountain. There were rows of jeeps. The scene was spectacular. There was also a simple breakfast here, biscuits, boiled eggs, tea, coffee, etc. You can eat breakfast while waiting for the sunrise. This place must be promoted. The eggs here are really delicious. It may be related to the nourishment of the volcano. Super lucky. I also saw the sea of clouds today. It was really beautiful. The beautiful sunrise only lasted for a few minutes. It was really beautiful.
It's a rare opportunity to ride a jeep, so of course you have to take photos. The drivers here are all very nice and will help you take photos. Believe me, let them help you take photos. The angles they capture will surprise you. It's really great. Just take photos. On the way back, we will go to the foot of the mountain to see the entire volcano. It is said that there used to be a village under our feet. When the volcano erupted in 1963, lava covered the entire village. So the black stones on the ground are the lava that once flowed. The scene is very spectacular. Alas, I forgot to bring a stone back. Although you have to get up early, it is worth it. Brothers and sisters who go to Bali must not miss this Trip.
