The dinner is exclusive and no other guests will be present. You need to book in advance via WhatsApp, with a minimum of 10 people. Many organizations and offices have booked #MakanBersama for intimate events and gatherings.
2 | Delicious dishes provided
Nanduto Home Cooking is here to prepare food for #MakanBersama. For every booking, Nanduto Home Cooking offers 5 set menus, each of which includes an appetizer, a main course, a dessert, and two types of drinks. You can choose one of the 5 sets or combine them according to your preference. The menu includes Indonesian dishes served elegantly. Moreover, the food served here is not served individually but in the middle of the table, because the main concept of #MakanBersama is to eat with close friends or family.
3 | Every dish has a story behind it
Another highlight of Nanduto’s home cooking is the owner and chef Nanda, who will tell you the stories behind the delicious dishes on the menu. He explains how the ingredients were chosen and why the dishes were cooked. You can chat with him and learn the history and even the recipes of the delicious dishes. Sounds great!
4 | Enjoy the view of the temple while you dine
The best thing about #MakanBersama is that you can enjoy delicious food while looking at the Tirto Raharjo temple at Jalan Kasongan Tirto, Bantul, Yogyakarta. This is the first MICE venue with a beautiful temple. This place is usually booked for weddings, private dinners, family gatherings, etc. People can enjoy the temple view, fresh air and delicious food in a nice and intimate atmosphere.
History of Tirto Raharjo Temple
There is a romantic story behind the establishment of the Tirto Raharjo temple complex, which consists of three temples. The temples were actually a 25th wedding anniversary gift from the owner, Mr. Timbul, to his wife, Mrs. Ani Faiqoh.
Mr. Timbul wanted to build a temple where he could worship. His wish took a long time to be fulfilled. Timbul had to meet some of his requirements, such as building a yoni (a place to place a square phallus), a phallus (a statue used for sacrifice), and a peripih (grains, beads or thin gold sheets). It is believed that a temple without walls is like a body without a soul. That is why he built a golden enclosure around the temple. Nowadays, people often come to worship at Tirto Raharjo temple.
What a beautiful story! You must bring your loved ones for a private dinner/lunch afterwards to witness the beauty of this temple!
