Calm Massage is a shop we passed by while walking in the city. We thought it looked nice and decided to come for a massage the next day. It turned out to be a great experience. We went to the Chiang Mai Gate shop, which is located in the ancient city. We can make an appointment by calling a few hours in advance during the off-season. The business hours are until 22:00.
We originally wanted to do it for 1.5 hours, but the clerk recommended a two-hour package with three options for 1,190 baht (there are essential oil massage, body scrub, Thai massage for key parts, etc., multiple choice 3). We chose body scrub + essential oil massage + foot. The scrub really opened the door to a new world and was super comfortable.
Spa massage service process:
1. Drink some tea on the first floor, fill out an information form, and choose the essential oil fragrance
2. Wash your feet and change shoes on the first floor
3. Go upstairs and enter the room to change clothes. The rooms are all private with doors and have their own shower rooms
4. No need to take a shower first, take off all your clothes and leave a disposable underwear, and scrub your whole body. It's cool and fragrant, very comfortable. And it's super meticulous, hahaha, even the gaps between toes are rubbed clean
5. After the body scrub, enter the shower room in the room, wash yourself, and then change into disposable underwear and bath towels
6. Lie on the bed, the aunt will wrap you tightly so you won't feel cold, and then start a hot essential oil massage. Including legs, hands, back, shoulders and neck, etc.
7. Finally, the aunt will wash her hands, give a head massage and Thai stretching
My requirements for massage are relaxation, comfort, no pain, but not as light as a touch. The strength of this store is just right for me. It's gentle but also a bit technical. After the massage, I feel very relaxed and the whole person is in a good mood. The 2-hour package is 1190 baht (select 3 items), and the 1.5h package is 990 baht (select 2 items). It's a little expensive in Chiang Mai.
Next to it is Monsoon, a tea shop that seems to be a little popular. There are teas special to northern Thailand that can be bought. A few dozen yuan a can is not expensive. The flavors are peach, coconut, etc. There are many flavors. You can try it. It's suitable for souvenirs
